The investment of time to get to know me and Crisis Action was the basis for the success of our work together. We’re an unusual organisation, but once they knew us, the team at Ellwood Atfield gave honest advice throughout the process about what was best for us. I couldn’t be happier with the result: someone not only with the skills we were looking for, but with the exact organisational fit who is a fantastic addition to the team.
Nick Martlew, UK Director, Crisis Action
Crisis Action needed a strong campaigner and mobilisation specialist to lead campaigns for the protection of civilians, leading networks from UK NGOs, faith groups, and many others.
Crisis Action work for the protection of civilians in conflict zones such as Syria and South Sudan, and partner with organisations and individuals who are best-placed to influence governments and supra-regional bodies.
The successful candidate came from leading children’s charity Save the Children. The candidate was looking to build campaigns from scratch and had a particular interest in working on significant international issues. Their ethical and career aspirations and their skills and approach were a perfect fit.
Crisis Action had tried to directly recruit, but had not found from direct applicants the combination of skills and organisational fit they needed, so required a more tailored approach to identify best talent from inside or outside their sector. They were referred to Ellwood Atfield, and we are proud to help them continue their incredible work.
